The original research based on local Singaporean demographics still holds.

Blog-kill is on the rise, because the $$$ funding blogging is drying up. Dedicated bloggers are holding up well. These are the ones who have made connections to the PR/Marketing community. Some bloggers continue because they have something to say.

Qualitatively, the better blogs remain, and this is good for filtering out the noise. The bulk of bloggers has typically shifted to Facebook, which serves their purpose.

Increasingly, Singaporean expats, expats in Singapore spend alot more time online blogging.

Is blogging dead? Not really. It's just getting better.

is this number the latest update? what is the most updated number of blogs in Singapore? maybe an estimate might be good as the number might have already risen to a very high number.. it's not so surprising, considering that the younger generation now feel that it is a trend to keep blogs.. therefore, many will just keep blogs for the sake of it, some because they find it useful and others use it for their respective reasons..
